Clarus
CLARUS is an in-ear monitor with nine drivers per side: one dynamic driver, seven balanced armatures and one MEMS tweeter, split by a six-way crossover. It has a CNC-machined aluminum shell and suits listeners who want a detachable-cable flagship IEM.

CLARUS is a flagship in-ear monitor in the Astell&Kern A&ultima range. It uses a tribrid layout of one proprietary 9 mm dynamic driver, seven Sonion balanced armatures and a top-firing silicon MEMS tweeter. A six-way crossover assigns each driver group its own range: the dynamic driver covers 20–200 Hz, the low armatures 80–500 Hz, the midrange armatures 500 Hz–7 kHz, the MEMS tweeter 7–10 kHz and the high-frequency armatures 9–15 kHz.
The shell and multi-faceted faceplate are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with an anodized silver finish, shaped ergonomically for a stable fit. The earpieces were tuned together with the maker's SP4000T player.
The earpieces take a detachable cable through 0.78 mm 2-pin connectors. The supplied cable is a custom-spec Effect Audio Ares S Lite with UP-OCC copper Litz conductors. AZLA SednaEarfit SE2000 tips come in six sizes, and a Saffiano leather case, IEM pouch and cable holder are included.
