P24

The P24 is a compact personal monitor mixer that lets each performer set up an individual monitor mix without a dedicated monitor engineer. It has 13 hardware faders, covering 12 stereo groups plus the mic input, so mixes are adjusted directly instead of through menus. Channels are stereo by default and can also be set to mono or dual mono. Panorama, Tilt-EQ and Limiter controls are available for shaping the mix.

Channel names and channel mode information are sent from the console over AES50 or StageConnect. With Ultranet, which does not carry labelling, the units can copy the configuration made on the first mixer in the chain. Built-in microphones and an XLR input for a dynamic mic, which can be triggered by a footswitch, handle talkback. The TALK button sends this signal to all P24 units in the chain or to a P24HUB, and the onboard mics can also be blended into the monitor mix as room ambience. A high-powered headphone output drives a wide range of in-ear and over-ear headphones.

Mixers can be daisy-chained, with or without the optional P24HUB. A hub supports up to 8 personal mixers and offers 16 analog TRS outputs. StageConnect carries 32 channels of 24-bit audio at 44.1 or 48 kHz over a single XLR/DMX cable. A clip on the unit fits standard 5/8" mic stands.
