Descrizione

The TG D57 is a small condenser microphone designed to attach directly to a snare drum, rack tom or other percussion instrument. A patented clamp holds the capsule and houses an integrated preamplifier, so the mic can be mounted quickly without a separate stand. A 72 mm swivel gooseneck lets the capsule be aimed at the sound source.

Its cardioid pattern and frequency response of 30 - 20,000 Hz are meant to reproduce drums faithfully, with stable levels and a high maximum sound pressure level. The microphone is built by hand at the maker's Heilbronn site in Germany, like the TG D58, and uses the company's Sound Channelling Technology, an acoustic labyrinth that shapes the polar pattern.

It connects through a 3-pin XLR output. The maker lists a WS 97 windscreen as an accessory, and a manual and spec sheet are available for download.
