The PULSE SUB is a compact powered subwoofer for Bluesound systems. An 8-inch polypropylene woofer is driven by a 150 W continuous Class D smart DSP amplifier, with 200 W dynamic peak. It is meant to be paired with Bluesound wireless speakers, home theater products such as the PULSE SOUNDBAR 2i, and stereo components (Generation 2 models or newer).
The sub connects over dual-band 802.11ac WiFi, and it also has an RJ45 Ethernet port and a mono low/line level analog input. Pairing and setup are done in the BluOS Controller app for Android and iOS, which also provides volume, variable crossover frequency and variable phase controls. Volume and function buttons are on the unit, and a dimmable LED shows status.
The slim cabinet can stand upright, lie down or be fixed to a wall with the supplied mounting bracket. It is offered in black or white matte, and network standby draw is 0.5 W.
