The AXR100 is a stereo receiver rated at 100 watts into 8 ohms. It combines an amplifier with an FM/AM tuner that can store 40 stations, with station information shown on a white LED dot matrix display. Bass and treble controls offer up to ±10 dB of shelving boost or cut.
For wired sources it has three RCA stereo inputs, a moving magnet phono input for a turntable, one digital coaxial input and two optical inputs, plus a pair of recording outputs. Two sets of speaker terminals allow a second pair of speakers to be connected, and a dedicated subwoofer output adds the option of extra bass.
Bluetooth 5.0 with A2DP and AVRCP (SBC codec) lets phones, laptops and other compatible devices stream music to it. The chassis uses the 430 mm width common to the AX series, in a grey finish, and a remote control is supplied.
