Three-and-a-half-way floorstanding loudspeaker from DALI's Rubicon series, listed as discontinued. It pairs three 6½-inch wood fibre woofers with a hybrid soft dome and planar tweeter, and suits hi-fi listeners with larger rooms.

The Rubicon 8 is a floorstanding speaker with three 6½-inch low/mid drivers and a hybrid tweeter module that combines a 29 mm soft dome with a 17 x 45 mm planar element. The planar element works down to 2.5 kHz and gives wide, continuous dispersion, which helps the speaker fill larger rooms.
The woofer cones are made of wood fibre with a light, rigid, randomly uneven structure intended to give piston-like movement and less surface resonance. The drivers use DALI's SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) magnet pole-piece with a slitted copper cap to lower distortion, including at low volume. They sit in a cast-aluminium chassis with a soft, low-loss rubber surround. The drivers are made in-house in Denmark.
Inside the cabinet each woofer has its own chamber, with a bass reflex port directly behind it, so each driver can be tuned separately. The speaker is a passive design that connects to an amplifier rated for 40 to 250 watts. It is shown with a grille and in a walnut veneer finish.
