The ES60 is a battery-powered portable speaker built around two 0.75-inch silk dome tweeters, an oval mid-bass driver and an oval passive bass radiator. A Class-D amplifier delivers 34 W RMS in total, split as 8 W + 8 W for the treble drivers and 18 W for the mid-bass, and the speaker is designed to spread sound in 360°. It is rated dustproof and waterproof for use outdoors, and the built-in battery is quoted at up to 9 hours of continuous playback (tested with SBC, 50% volume, ambient light off).
Wireless playback uses Bluetooth 5.4 with the SBC codec. Two ES60 units can be paired for stereo, and multipoint connection lets the speaker stay connected to two devices at once. A USB-C port serves as an audio input from a computer (44.1 kHz and 48 kHz) and for charging. A MEMS microphone in the top panel with noise cancellation handles calls.
There are four sound modes (Music, Movies, Gaming, Outdoor) and an ambient light system with 3 preset effects and 2 colour options. Playback is controlled from the top panel or through the EDIFIER ConneX mobile app, which also covers source switching, sound and light effects, and the user manual.
