The IS-AMP8100-BK is an eight-channel amplifier in a modular, discrete Class D design. It delivers 100 W per channel into both 4 and 8 ohm loads and can be bridged for 200 W. Any input can be sent to any output through full matrix routing handled by DSP and a CPLD.
Four of the outputs are assignable, so a room can be driven by in-ceiling speakers while one output feeds a powered subwoofer in the same zone. High-pass filters can be applied to in-ceiling or in-wall speakers. Each output has a full parametric equalizer, and presets are provided for ELAC speakers to speed up setup.
Setup and tuning are done in a web-based interface that shows the status of each channel with input and output levels, and settings can be saved to reuse across projects. Each zone has 16-bit microprocessors watching voltage, current and temperature, and the unit monitors 10 thermal points. Third-party control is available through IP commands for Control4 and Crestron. The chassis is 2 RU for rack mounting.
