Solano FS 287.2

The FS287.2 is the floorstanding model of the Solano 2.0 range. It is a 2½-way bass-reflex design that pairs a JET 6 tweeter with two 150 mm woofers using aluminum sandwich (AS) cones, which are described as rigid, fast and well damped. The crossover points are 450 Hz and 2400 Hz, and the stated frequency range is 30 to 50,000 Hz.

The cabinet has softly curved sides and a high-gloss finish, and it is offered in Black High Gloss or White High Gloss. It stands 985 mm tall and weighs 19.0 kg. It can serve as the main pair in a stereo setup or as part of a multi-channel system alongside the series bookshelf (BS283.2) and center channel (CC281.2) models.

Sensitivity is 87 dB at 2.83 V/m, and the speaker is rated for amplifiers from 4 Ω to 8 Ω with 40 to 300 W per channel recommended. Nominal impedance is 4 Ω, with a 3.5 Ω minimum. Connection is by ordinary speaker cable from an amplifier.
