The iKeyboard 5Nano pairs a velocity-sensitive, piano-style 49-key keyboard with a single-channel DAW control section. Pitch bend and modulation wheels, octave and transpose buttons, and a dual-function encoder (turn and press) with an 11-segment LED ring are on the panel. Several velocity curves can be selected.
Control mapping uses Mackie Control for Cubase, Nuendo, Samplitude, Reason, Logic Pro and Ableton Live, and HUI for Pro Tools. Presets are provided for these DAWs and for Studio One. The included iMap software lets every control be mapped to any MIDI application, and the unit can also be set to general MIDI values. Firmware updates are done over USB through iMap.
The keyboard connects over USB 2.0 high speed and is class-compliant on Windows, macOS and iOS. It also has a MIDI output jack and TRS connectors for an expression pedal and a sustain pedal, with reversible sustain polarity. A software bundle is included, and the metal casing has a Kensington lock port.
