A 250 mm (10 in.) in-wall subwoofer from KEF's Architectural Speakers range, part of the Extreme Home Theatre line-up. It suits music, film and gaming systems and is designed to be driven by KEF's KASA500 DSP amplifier.

The Ci250RRb-THX is an open-backed architectural subwoofer that fits into a wall or ceiling. It uses a single extra-long-throw 250 mm (10 in.) bass driver with a 150oz magnet in the motor system. KEF quotes low-distortion output down to 20Hz (±6dB) and a maximum SPL of 109 dB measured at 1 m.
It belongs to the Extreme Home Theatre group within KEF's Architectural Speakers and carries THX branding. Its frequency response and range are given relative to a KASA setting, because bass tuning is handled by the DSP in KEF's KASA500 amplifier, which is the recommended partner for the driver. It can also be paired with other KEF loudspeakers in a stereo or home theatre system.
Installation needs a 300 mm x 300 mm cut-out and a mounting thickness of 6 mm to 30 mm. The open-back design calls for a rear volume of at least 70L, with 140L as the ideal. Software for the Ci range is available from KEF's Ci Software Download page.
