The C 298 is a two-channel power amplifier that uses Purifi Eigentakt technology to keep noise and distortion low across the audible range. It is rated at 185 W per channel into 8 ohms and 340 W into 4 ohms in stereo mode, and it is described as stable with demanding loudspeaker loads.
The amplifier can be bridged into a mono unit delivering 620 W into 8 ohms, so a system can start with one unit and add a second later. Gain can be fixed or variable, and an input level control helps match it to different preamplifiers and sources.
