The 3020 is a 2-way bass-reflex bookshelf speaker from the 3000 Series. It combines a 125 mm bass driver, made from a blend of paper and aramid fibre, with a 25 mm tweeter that uses a concentric ring-dome design for low distortion and wide dispersion. The crossover is set at 2.9 kHz, and the cabinet is built to keep resonance low.
Quoted frequency response is 64 Hz to 22 kHz (±3 dB), with a sensitivity of 88 dB and a nominal impedance of 6 ohm, so it can be driven by amplifiers rated from 25 to 75 W. It is intended to sit on stands, and the box includes port bungs for adjusting bass output in the room.
Connection is through standard speaker terminals from an amplifier. Magnetic grilles fit to the front baffle and can be left off for a cleaner look. Finishes include Graphite, Walnut, Gloss Black, Gloss White and a Leather and Gloss Black option.
