The Qi 65LW is a rock-style outdoor speaker with a granite-effect textured finish, designed to sit among plants and stonework in places such as bordered patios and alpine gardens. It uses a 6.5 inch polypropylene woofer and a 1 inch PEI dome tweeter in a low-resonance cabinet, with the drivers tuned to stay full and clear at high volume.
The cabinet is moulded from glass-reinforced polymer and the cable termination is weatherproof, so the speaker can be placed at ground level outdoors. It is intended for music reproduction, announcements or ambient sound such as birdsong.
It is a passive 8 ohm design with a program power handling of 10-60W, covering 70 Hz to 20 kHz. It needs an amplifier to drive it. The listed warranty is 5 years.
