The AC-Driver is a pedal-format preamp built around a studio-quality preamp and class-A buffer circuit. It provides level control for the outputs, an adjustable low cut filter to remove excess bass, and a 180° phase switch to counter feedback caused by stage hot spots.
For feedback that occurs at a specific frequency, a variable notch filter can be engaged and tuned until the problem is removed. A mute footswitch silences the signal for on-stage tuning or instrument changes without pops or noise reaching the PA.
The balanced DI output sends the signal straight to a PA or powered speaker, and the unit can also drive a stage amp and front-of-house at the same time, with a level control covering both outputs. It is part of Radial's acoustic series, and the part number is R800 7322 00.
