Voco-Loco Mk2

The Voco-Loco Mk2 combines a microphone preamp with a guitar-pedal effects loop. A microphone is plugged into its input, guitar pedals are connected with standard 1/4" cables, and the output goes on to a mixer. A footswitch switches the pedal chain in and out, so delay, reverb, distortion, wah or chorus can be added to a voice or a mic'd instrument, and several effects can be engaged at once with a single press.

Compared with the original Voco-Loco, the Mk2 has a new appearance, additional gain, a locking XLR input for more secure connections, and more robust phantom power handling intended for demanding condenser microphones. It works with both dynamic and condenser mics.

Power can come from 9V or 18V supplies, and the unit ships with its own 15V power supply. Typical uses include vocals, brass and harmonica, where the player wants effects without bringing an amplifier to the gig.
