The unit is a 1U processor built from swappable input and output modules. Inputs can be HDMI 2.0, DVI, SD/HD/3G-SDI, DisplayPort 1.2 or an H.264/265 stream, for 2K and 4K signals, up to 8 in total. Output options include HDMI 2.0, DP 1.2, HDMI 1.3, DVI and SDI, with 4 outputs. The standard configuration ships with 4 HDMI 1.3 outputs.
It offers 8 layers that can roam and cross any output without using up additional layer count, and one output port can span 8 screens. Other functions are de-interlacing, dual OSD rolling subtitles on the 2K output module, custom EDID and output resolutions, and decoding of a webcam feed. 4K at 60 Hz is supported on inputs and outputs.
Control is from the front panel, or remotely over RS-232 and Ethernet. The XPOSE 2.0 app and the RGBlink OpenAPI allow control from the maker's software or third-party apps and controllers. Three versions are listed: 2K Standard No.1, 2K Standard No.2 and one suited to HM 1U.
