The HP702 is a stand-mounted digital piano with an 88-key PHA-4 Standard keyboard featuring escapement and ivory feel. Piano sounds come from SuperNATURAL modeling with unlimited polyphony for solo piano playing, and 324 tones are available in total. Two 12 cm speakers rated at 14 W each provide the sound, and a Headphones 3D Ambience effect is available for headphone use. A progressive damper action pedal detects damper and soft pedal movement continuously.
The Piano Designer settings let the player adjust elements such as lid, hammer and key-off noise, duplex scale, string, damper, key-off and cabinet resonance, soundboard type and single-note tuning, volume and character. Key touch offers 100 types and hammer response 10 types, with ten selectable temperaments. For practice there are internal songs including scale, Hanon, Beyer, Burgmuller and Czerny lessons, a three-part MIDI recorder, and a metronome. Dual, split and TwinPiano modes are provided.
Bluetooth carries audio (Ver 3.0) and MIDI (Ver 4.0), and the Piano Every Day and Piano Designer apps for Android and iOS are supported. USB Computer and USB Memory ports allow MIDI and audio file playback and recording to a USB flash drive. Output jacks, an input jack and two headphone jacks complete the connections.
