The IE 300 is a closed, dynamic in-ear earphone built around a refined 7 mm transducer made in Germany. A newly developed diaphragm foil is intended to reduce natural resonances, and a small chamber behind the transducer together with a resonator chamber manages airflow and removes masking resonances. The tuning is described as a refined, V-shaped sound with strong bass.
The lightweight housings take detachable cables via gold-plated MMCX connectors, which sit in recessed sockets for strain relief. The supplied para-aramid reinforced cable ends in a 3.5 mm stereo plug. Adjustable, flexible ear hooks are fitted, and the set includes silicone and memory foam ear tips in three sizes each to give a sealed fit and passive isolation from ambient noise.
Connection is by the 3.5 mm plug to digital audio players, headphone amp-DACs, laptops, phones and audio interfaces. Balanced 2.5 mm and 4.4 mm cables are mentioned as separate accessories, and a carry case and cleaning tool are included.
