US-800
The US-800 is a discontinued 8-in/6-out USB 2.0 audio and MIDI interface with six XLR/TRS combo inputs and phantom power. It suits laptop-based multi-mic recording in the studio or on location, at up to 96 kHz/24-bit.

The US-800 is a compact USB 2.0 audio and MIDI interface that gives a laptop eight inputs and six outputs. Six combo inputs accept XLR microphones or line-level sources, and phantom power is available for condenser microphones. Conversion runs at up to 96 kHz/24-bit.
Besides the analog inputs, it has coaxial S/PDIF digital input and output and 16-channel MIDI in and out for connecting other studio gear. Monitoring is covered by a stereo RCA analog output and stereo headphone outputs in both 1/4" and 1/8" sizes. Each analog input has a two-segment LED meter. A standalone-only mode lets the unit work as a microphone preamp without a computer.
The unit is light and designed for both mobile and desktop use. It connects to Windows and Mac computers over USB 2.0 with the supplied drivers, and it includes Cubase LE4 recording software with up to 48 tracks. The model has been discontinued by the manufacturer.
