The CRANE-M 3S is a handheld camera gimbal built around a low weight of 705 g while still supporting mainstream cameras and lenses. A two-in-one quick-release system lets the battery be swapped without taking the camera off, so the camera does not need to be rebalanced each time.
Shooting aids include Bluetooth shutter control for starting and stopping video or triggering photos without a cable, and a small built-in fill light rated up to 1000 lux with a 2700-5500 K colour temperature range and CRI of 90 or higher. Creative modes and built-in functions cover panorama, timelapse, motionlapse and vortex mode. Settings are adjusted on a 1.22-inch colour screen with Chinese and English menus.
The gimbal runs for up to 7.5 hours per charge and can be charged while in use. It supports PD fast charging, with a full charge taking up to about 2 hours at a peak of 12 W in lab testing. Camera compatibility for the Bluetooth shutter is listed separately by the maker.
