PuriBar is a small, 100 g ozone generator. A built-in generator produces ozone and negative ions through high voltage and ionization. Ozone spreads through an enclosed space and breaks down into oxygen, while the negative ions bind airborne particles. The maker cites lab data from Guangdong Detection Center of Microbiology for up to 99% of bacteria and viruses removed in as little as 4 minutes in Handbag Mode.
The unit starts with a twist: pick a mode and ozone release begins after 3 seconds. Handbag Mode (5 L) runs 4 minutes, Backpack Mode (20 L) 6 minutes and Suitcase Mode (30 L) 8 minutes. Loop Mode releases ozone for 4 minutes every time, with a 2-hour gap between cycles. It is meant for use in an enclosed, unoccupied space, with the air outlet left unblocked.
Power comes from a rechargeable battery that also supports real-time USB charging. Runtime is about 9 hours 5 minutes in Loop Mode or 27 cycles in Handbag Mode. It needs no consumables. High ozone concentrations can be harmful, and long exposure to treated spaces and prolonged contact with oxidizable items should be avoided.
