The H1 is a compact two-track handheld recorder built around a 90-degree X/Y unidirectional condenser stereo microphone. It records to microSD and microSDHC cards up to 32 GB, in WAV at up to 24-bit/96 kHz or in a range of MP3 bit rates, and offers a low-cut filter, automatic level control and up to 99 marks per recording.
A backlit LCD shows status, and a built-in reference speaker allows quick playback checks without headphones. A stereo mini-jack input accepts external microphones or line sources and supplies 2.5V plug-in power, while the stereo phones/line output has its own volume control.
A Mini-B USB port handles file transfer, SD card reader operation, and use as a USB audio interface and USB microphone. The recorder runs on one AA alkaline or NiMH battery, or on a USB AC adapter, and mounts directly to a tripod; a mic stand or DSLR mount needs an optional adapter.
