Drumfire II W is an updated version of the Drumfire II, built as a single large speaker with two 4.5" woofers, two 1" soft-dome tweeters and a separate 8" subwoofer driver. Amplification totals 300 W (2x20 W + 60 W + 200 W). The acoustic design combines a two-way bass-reflex section with a bass-reflex subwoofer, and the in-room bass response reaches 31 Hz at -6 dB.
It streams over Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n/ac, 2.4 and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2, at up to 24/96 quality. Multiroom grouping works through the Audio Pro app, AirPlay (1 and 2) and Google Cast. The app includes an equalizer and gives access to a long list of streaming services, including Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer and Amazon Music, along with internet radio and local network music. Six preset buttons on the unit give direct access to favourites.
Wired connections are limited to an analogue RCA line input and a subwoofer output. There is no Ethernet, optical, coaxial, HDMI or USB port. The speaker runs from mains power only and has no battery. A power cable, manual and sub cable are supplied.
