Small-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone for close-miking instruments, drums and amplifiers. It has a 220° swivel head, a transformerless output and a metal body, and suits stage and studio use.

The OC7 is a small-diaphragm true condenser microphone with a cardioid pattern, designed for close-miking acoustic guitar, snare and other drums, and amplifiers. It uses the OCC7 capsule, a design inspired by the CK1, together with a transformerless output. The result is a linear frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and handling of sound pressure levels up to 154 dB, or above 160 dB with the pad engaged.
A swivel joint lets the head rotate through 220°, so the capsule can be aimed accurately in tight spots without moving the stand. The all-metal enclosure is built to survive an accidental hit from a drumstick. The microphone is made in Vienna.
On the control side it has two switchable low cut filters, at 40 Hz and 80 Hz, plus a -10 dB pad. It connects through a 3-pin XLR output and needs 48 V phantom power. Optional accessories include the DPH12 drum holder and the SB1 stereo bar.
