The SY-1 is a Eurorack module that recreates a classic dual analog percussion synthesizer. It offers six oscillator modes: single oscillator, FM, dual oscillator mix, dynamic oscillator mix, FM/noise mix and pure noise. Tune, decay and filter cutoff controls shape each mode, covering sounds from kicks and snares to metallic hits and sci-fi effects.
A pitch sweep section with speed, range and up/down controls produces pitch dives and rises for transitions and special effects. An LFO with square and triangle waveforms can modulate either pitch or filter, for vibrato-style movement.
The module can be triggered from drum pads, from a drum machine such as the Behringer RD-8, or from other external triggers. It fits a standard Eurorack case, is powered through the case's power cable and is fixed with the included screws, so it can sit alongside other modules or instruments.
