Vault 2

The VAULT 2 rips audio CDs and stores the files on an internal 2 TB hard drive, so no computer is needed to build or manage a digital music library. Discs can be ripped in high-resolution FLAC, in space-saving MP3, or in both formats at once. High-resolution tracks that are downloaded can be stored on the same drive.

The stored library can be streamed to multiple Bluesound players in different rooms. The unit also gives access to internet radio, cloud music services such as TIDAL, Spotify and Qobuz, an iTunes library, and any USB NAS drive that is connected. It is built on a 1 GHz ARM Cortex-9 multi-core processor with a 32-bit architecture and 8x oversampling DAC platforms.

The unit connects to the home network over Gigabit Ethernet, so it can be placed anywhere, in view or out of sight. It has touch controls on the unit and is operated with the BluOS Controller App on iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, Windows and Mac OS X. Voice control is available through the BluOS Voice Skill for Amazon Alexa. It came in Black or White.
