The Frequency Analyzer is an analog ring modulator in a die-cast pedal housing. A Shift control sets the base frequency across a four to five octave range, and a Fine control trims it over close to an octave. The chosen frequency is both added to and subtracted from the incoming note or chord, creating moving harmonies. A Blend control mixes the processed signal with the original, and can filter the original note out.
Unlike many ring modulators, this one has controllable high-order filters. A filter switch engages them to reduce cross distortion and bring out the variations in the tone. The pedal uses true bypass switching and a mono audio path.
There is a quarter-inch input and two quarter-inch outputs: one carries the effect signal and a separate dry output passes the input signal through. It runs from the supplied 40VDC 100mA adapter and draws 30mA. The model first appeared in 2008 and was discontinued in 2023.
