Elipson Planet M

The Planet M is a pair of spherical closed-box speakers. Each has a 4" two-way coaxial driver with a fabric dome tweeter. The sealed round shell is made of rigid resin, which the design relies on to avoid the box resonances of a conventional cabinet. The finish is lacquer, with a metal grille.

The small drivers are not pushed to reach deep bass. They reproduce high bass down to 90 Hz, and a subwoofer is recommended for full-range playback. The Planet Sub is named as the matching option. The sound is described as neutral, with a precise soundstage.

The speakers can be placed on dedicated stands or fixed with optional wall mounts or ceiling mounts. An optional in-ceiling support allows a more discreet installation, for example as side or rear height surround speakers in a 7.1 or 9.1 home cinema. Each sphere is about 7.9 inches in diameter. The pack contains two speakers, and several colours are offered.
