The № 5302 is a fully discrete, direct-coupled, dual-monaural Class AB power amplifier. Each channel is fed from an 1100 VA toroidal transformer with separate secondary windings for left and right. The voltage gain stage follows the topology of the maker's № 534 amplifier. The output stage uses two high-speed driver transistors running in class A and six 260 V, 15 A output transistors, with two Thermal-Trak devices to keep output bias stable regardless of load or temperature.
It is rated at 135 W per channel into 8 Ω and 270 W per channel into 4 Ω, and is stable into 2 Ω loads. A rear-panel switch bridges it for mono operation, and a second unit can be added for more power. Inputs are balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA.
For system integration it provides Ethernet, USB, RS-232, an IR input and 12 V trigger input and output. An internal web page lets you set up the amplifier, import and export configurations and update software from a PC browser. The chassis has a one-inch bead-blasted black-anodized aluminum front panel, a recessed glass display, a ring-lit standby button, external heatsinks and aluminum handles. It is designed and built in the USA.
