The Vena II Play is a stereo integrated amplifier built on the Vena II platform, with DTS Play-Fi added for streaming over a dual-band Wi-Fi network. Play-Fi can send music from phones, tablets, PCs or a NAS drive, supports speaker groups, and lets the amp be combined with other Play-Fi products for a multi-room setup. Listed services include Spotify, TIDAL, Amazon Music, Qobuz, Deezer, internet radio and others, and DLNA media servers can also be used.
The power amplifier delivers 2 x 45W into 8 ohm or 2 x 65W into 4 ohm. Digital conversion is handled by an ESS Sabre32 ES9018K2M DAC. The USB input accepts PCM up to 384kHz and DSD up to DSD256, while the optical and coaxial inputs handle up to 192kHz.
Analogue connections include two AUX inputs and an MM phono input for a turntable, plus an RCA pre-out. Bluetooth supports aptX and aptX LL. The unit measures 301 x 95 x 313 mm and weighs 6.1kg, and is offered in Lancaster Grey and Silver finishes.
