Dragster

The Dragster sits between an electric guitar or bass and whatever follows it, such as a wireless transmitter, a chain of buffered pedals or a recording input. It changes the impedance the pickup works into, which brings back the interaction between pickup and amplifier that a buffer normally removes. A thumb wheel sets the amount of correction by ear.

Typical uses are warming up the sound of active buffers, improving how a wireless system sounds, and capturing a more natural tone when recording, which can also help when the signal will be reamped later. For wireless use, the guitar is plugged into the Dragster before the transmitter.

The housing is small and light enough to fit on a pedalboard, and built-in mounting flanges allow it to be attached to a guitar strap. Connection is made with the guitar or bass cable into the unit. A user guide, owner's manual, smart sheet and photos are provided as downloads.
