The set pairs a wireless boundary microphone, the SL Boundary 114-S DW, with a rack-mounted receiver, the SL Rack Receiver DW. The microphone is tuned for speech in conference rooms, and because it has no cables it can be placed freely on a table.
The microphone can be charged wirelessly by induction or through USB. A separate CHG 2W wireless charger for two devices is sold as an accessory. Dedicated LEDs on the microphone show the battery level, and the supplied BA 40 accupack is rated for up to 12 hours of operation. The technical data lists a typical battery time of 13 hours.
The microphone has a cardioid pattern, a 40 to 20,000 Hz frequency response and 24 bit/48 kHz digital sampling. The receiver comes with its power supply and a GA 4 rack mount kit for installation. All devices in the system can be monitored and controlled remotely through the Sennheiser Control Cockpit.
