System T S500m

The S500m carries the feature set of the System T S500 surface but is built more than 25% lighter, with the aim of making transport easier for flypack and OB trucks. It can be ordered as a turnkey 32- or 48-fader console with a flight case, or as a larger custom surface of up to 96 faders. The control surface uses the same range of touchscreen and hardware tiles as the S500, which can be combined in different console frames to suit the operator and the production.

The meter bridge is detachable, so the console can be used with or without it. Meter bridge video can be shown on screens mounted on the console or sent to an external multi-viewer. A purpose-built rack case holds the console stand and the meter bridge for shipping, and it also provides two 8RU spaces for Tempest engines and Network I/O.

The console works with System T processing and network I/O, and the maker describes support for large input counts, with up to 800 inputs with EQ cited by a user. Software and firmware downloads are available through the maker's support hub with a registered account.
